Feeling like your heart was pulled out of your chest and stomped on the ground. Can't sleep, can't eat, and life simply feels like it's over. Wow, sounds a little doom and gloom, but for those who have or are suffering the loss of a relationship, those are feelings they understand all too well.
The loss of a long term relationship can be the same level of pain as death of a loved one. So it's okay to mourn the loss of the relationship for a time. You will have a deep sense of loss and heartache, but it will pass. You will not only find love again, but after some time you won't remember the pain you feel today as vividly as you do today. Time will fade this sorrow and hurt.
This does not give you permission to curl up under the covers and forget to live. Life is not over. You have to find in your heart the realization that if this relationship was truly meant to be, it would be. Therefore, your life's plan has a different journey for you to be on. If you believe in God, then God has a different plan for your life.
So today after reading this article you will want to take some action. What action should you take? Well there is an answer for that to. Don't be alone. Get out and walk at the mall, take a walk in the park, or just get out of the house. Attend events to meet new people, not love interests, but friends and other people. Interact with the world around you. Workout and relieve your tension and stress. Attend a Yoga class, meditate and learn to quiet your mind. There are plenty of free or inexpensive classes at local recreation centers or libraries that have programs you can attend.
The more you do and the busier you stay, you will begin to find peace. Keep focused on the fact that you have a new chapter of your life unfolding before you. From our worst pain we find our greatest successes. If you don't, wake up and live your life. You may miss out on your greatest gift. Get back in the game, life needs you! Don't sit on the sidelines crying woe is me. Yes, it hurts like hell to move. This is when you grit your teeth stand up and scream "I will hurt no more". Scream at the top of your lungs you will hurt no more.
The courage to move on with life lies within you. All you have to do is get moving. Don't allow yourself to be in a place of self destruction. Lying in bed crying is no life. Life is also not over. Even if you think it is, it is not. Sometimes life has a sick way of showing us we are on the wrong path. We are rocking along happy and life is good and then, bam! Life kicks you in the gut and what you thought was so right turns out was so wrong. It's just life's twisted way of saying "Hey you! You are supposed to be over here, not over there. It's OK to begin anew. It's your life's journey. Sometimes it won't make sense, but someday soon it will. That's the real kicker. One day in the future, you will look back and not even remember this day. Why? Because you are on the path that is your destiny.
