I sit and stare at these four walls. The photographs of my past are spread all around. They show the images of my broken dreams that are tattered and torn by harsh reality. Had I ever meant something, or was I simply the passing fancy? Once, we were driven by great passion while wrapped in each others arms. I remember the sound in your voice, and the look in your eye. The delusion of a chance at love. How does something come to mean so little? It is a question that will remain through time and generations not just for me, but for many others. I am hardly an exclusive victim to the touch of love. Although, you find yourself feeling as though no one else could know your pain. However, it is the one common bond we all have. Even when we are insensitive to the pain that others may feel it is very much the same pain that we have felt at least once. A hard crash to the ground after discovering how easily a person's love can change. A hurt that is so deep that we wish something or someone could take away, but there really is nothing that will stop rain. Yet, as I stare at these four walls I find other visions, as well. Hidden within the hellish sadness exists the reason to push forward. For the moments not yet experienced. That little flash in someone's eye that lets you know that the smile you are seeing is just for you, and that first kiss that will keep you warm for days. I have come to realize that in order to find the way that is that distant light in front of you; You must first find yourself at that living end. When you find yourself lying on the floor telling yourself that this is it. You will surely cease by dawn. Your eyes have, unexpectedly,opened and it begins a new day. The sun still shines in the sky, and you somehow, survived what was the worst moment of your life. It is at that point you realize the only thing that will truly break you is you. Stare at these four walls and know that you are stronger than you have ever been, wiser for the what will be crossing your path next, and real love could be just one eye catching glance away.
