Best free game sites on the web

There are many, many free game sites on the web nowadays, but in my opinion, there are a few that stand out as exceptional. They offer a wide variety of different games in many genres and are easy to navigate.

The first one I would recommend would be Pogo.com. Pogo has a large base of games in such genres as cards, sports, puzzles and casino. Their site is very easy to navigate, will never sell your information, and won't send you tons of spam. They have a newsletter to sign up for, an RSS feed, and prizes they give away using their free tokens. Pogo's customer support staff are friendly and helpful should you have any problems and they are quick to answer emails.

Another site I highly recommend is Gamerival.com. They, too, have many games, separated in easy to navigate genres. You can challenge your friends in many of the games, as well. While some of their games are downloadable only and must be bought after the free trial, very many of them are free to play in your browser.

Grab.com is another great website for free games. With eight genres, including user submitted games, there is something for everyone. They offer chat rooms if you like to make new friends while you play, and also have a feature to challenge your friends to beat your score.

Of course, there are always the skill game sites, as well. While these are focused on pay for play tournament games, they can all be played for free as well, so I am including a listing of a few of these that are very good.

Worldwinner.com seems to be a very popular site. It only has a few categories of games, but they are good games, such as The Price Is Right, Big Money and Cubis, to name a few.

King.com is a skill game site that has a lot of games, all of which have free play versions. With over eighty games in six different categories there is are a lot of games to choose from on this site. You can send free challenges to your friends, one at a time, or even in groups. The community forum, moderated by "The Joker" has helpful, fun and interesting information that is updated often.

All in all, there are many free game sites on the Internet that are fun to play, easy to find, and won't flood your email inbox with junk. If you're stuck for inspiration you can even fall back on Yahoo Games and MSN Game Zone.
