Music Challenge is definitely a hard game to play if you're not well-versed with a lot of songs from various musical genres. Knowing that the game can be quite competitive, it can be really frustrating if you find yourself in the bottom ranking among your friends.

The following is a list of few tips for the players who want to improve their high scores in the game. Take note that these tips won't make you the top scorer overnight, but they can serve as great guidelines in achieving that goal.

1. Play the game as many times as you can and familiarize yourself with the different song titles.

This is probably the most tedious way of improving your score, but believe me, it works. Some of the songs in this game, particularly the early ones, repeats if you start a new round. So after playing 10 or so rounds, you'll probably know a song's title as it hits the first note. If you have a good memory, you will be able to breeze through the first few songs which the game throws at you.

2. Don't panic when you break the pattern of your consecutive correct answers.

The bonus you receive from correctly guessing consecutive song titles is quite helpful, but you should be aware that it's not the be all and end all of the game. If you panic when the pattern ends, it will only cost you more time and thus, make it harder for you to get a higher score. In this game, being calm is the key to musical nirvana.

3. Focus on listening to the songs, not on your score.

If you try and put all your focus on the score, there's a tendency that you'll quickly lose hope and end the game abruptly to start another one. That could be a wasted opportunity if you're not careful. Anything can happen in this game. You might hit a lucky streak and make up for your low score in the last few seconds. If your attention is not on the songs you'll just be stuck in a loop of frustration.

4. If you don't want to break your consecutive streak, wait for the choices to dwindle down instead of carelessly guessing.

In this game, as the song snippets play, the 5 available choices are removed one by one on the list. As the choices are narrowed down, you will also gain better odds of getting the song's name correctly. Of course, as an alternative, you can always use the tried-and-tested "elimination" method. You can do this by eliminating a song in your head which you know is definitely not the correct answer.

5. Always check the game timer, take note of the additional seconds added to the time.
