Poetry: Imaginary love

I had a dream...

It played in living colour
more vivid than any other dream
without a solid ground to show
the scenes may not be as they seem

Realization slowly seeped in
diluting every frame
until, in black and starkest white
they no longer looked the same

A headlong fall into blissful love
set thoughts and words in motion
Deepest passions flowed
on one-way streets of pure emotion

The dream began on drifting clouds
not once did it occur
that while I floated happily
his dream was still of her...
