The world of traditional Newtonian physics deals with energy and matter, and the basic forces that hold the universe together on a cosmic scale, gravity, the electromagnetic force and the weak and strong nuclear forces. Quantum mechanics deals with forces, energy and matter too, but on the scale of the nano-universe, a bizarre world of subatomic particles, up and down quarks, strange quarks, leptons, fermions, bosons and so on. While traditional physics is based on observable proven realities [what Einstein referred to as experience], quantum physics exists much more in the domain of theoretical science. A lot of the laws of quantum mechanics seem to hold together in the nano-universe, but fall apart when applied on the cosmic scale.

For anyone with an elementary understanding of Newtonian physics, the Law of Attraction calls immediately to mind, the Coulombs Law, which was also known as the Law of Attraction as relating to the electromagnetic force between protons and electrons in an atom. The Law of Attraction, as referred to in quantum physics, is something quite different.

Since the Pythagoreans first contemplated the existence of the intangible realm of human thought, the idea that thoughts are a true and real manifestation in the physical universe has been pondered. For the past two and a half millennia, scientists, philosophers and religious scholars have labored to discover some relationship between the material and immaterial dimensions, the physical and spiritual realms. Many theories have been advanced, but none yet has met the burden of scientific proof. It has been rumored however, that some bright young physicists at Stanford University may just have discovered such a relationship through quantum mechanics, and they dubbed the dubious dictate the Law of Attraction. The dubious part will be addressed momentarily, but first consider the proposition.

Very basically, the quantum Law of Attraction proposes that the process of thought is much more than an intangible mental manifestation, indeed, that it involves the displacement and rearrangement of subatomic particles. Anyone who knows anything about physics can tell you, that when particles move they generate electromagnetic fields, and that these fields are propagated into space-time. In space-time, these electromagnetic fields energize and effect other particles and all kinds of interesting things begin to happen. The Law of Attraction concludes, that the process of thinking produces just such effect,
