Best movies ever

In my opinion is the movie "Gone with the wind" the best movie all times. The movie is based on a book of Margaret Mitchell and was a Bestseller in the 20th century. The movie has the same quality as the book; I should even say better.

The movie begins with the celebration of Scarlett's birthday. She became 16 years old and many boys fall in love with her. Scarlett is a very attractive girl who likes to play with the feeling of many boys and she hurts many of them.

She is in love with Ashley but he is engaged with her cousin, Melanie.
Scarlett tells Ashley that she loves him but he can't require her love. He is gonna marry with Melanie. Rhett Butler is witness of Scarlett's declaration of love to Ashley.

On the same day the civil war between the northern and southern states is beginning. A little bit later Ashley marries with Melanie. As a kind of revenge Scarlett marries with the brother of Melanie, Charles. He died during the war and on a young age Scarlett is a widow. Scarlett marries three times and the last time with Rhett Butler. Between Scarlett and Rhett there is always a kind of love-hate relationship. They get a child, Bonny, but she died when she rides with her horse.
Then he leaves Scarlett because he don't see any reason more to stay together.

Very important in the movie is also Tara, the land and the house of Scarlett O'Hara.
During the war Tara was ruined and Scarlett tries to fight for her land and rebuild it. We see the character of Scarlett changing from a beautiful girl who likes to make fun to a "hard" woman. Hard in the sense that she is very strong to her sisters and to people in her environment.

At the end of the movie Melanie died and she asked Scarlett to carry for her husband Ashley. She promised it also to her and Rhett says to Scarlett that she now can get what she wants : Ashley. She has even the permission of his wife. But then she consider that she in fact only loves Rhett but he doesn't want her anymore.
She cries and ask Rhett to come back but he refuses.
In fact there is no real solution for the movie and you can try to imagine how the future will be. Very beautiful are the words of Scarlett : Tomorrow is another day!

This movie is also very special because of the good players : Vivien Leigh(Scarlett) and Clark Gable(Rhett Butler) are the main players and in my opinion no one can do better. Their acting is perfect. Also very good players are Olivia De Havilland (Melanie) and Hatty Mc Daniel (Mammy).
Also the music in the movie is very beautiful; especially Tara's theme from Max Steiner.

Gone with the wind won 10 Academy awards. Some of them are best actress Vivien Leigh, best picture, best director, best screenplay and some others.
I watch this movie almost every year and I enjoy it every time. The movie is made in 1939 but in my opinion much better than the movies of the last years.

Of course there are also many other beautiful movies like "The Titanic", Ben Hur, Doctor Zhivago, Bridge over the River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia, Kramer versus Kramer and many others but my vote for the best movie all times goes to Gone with the wind; a must for everyone.
