Many people are thrown into events that are life altering. Some decide to learn from their experience, while others become cynical. Truly wise individuals come in all shapes, sizes and ages. There are truly wise children and ignorant elders. There are wise elders, not because of their age, but because they have chosen to use their experiences as a life lesson, not a complaint.
