Lemon water and honey with cinnamon: A drink that can keep you healthy in all seasons

Lemon water and honey with cinnamon is a very healthy drink, especially in the winter. Winter is when the weather is colder, and this increases our risk for all kinds of illness and sickness. Lemon, honey, and cinnamon have been proven to be sickness fighters, and you do not have to consume all of them each day to be healthy, but few things are better on a cold night to keep you healthy.

It is not only the seasonal illnesses we have to be careful for. Lemons are proven to control blood sugar levels. This is great news for diabetics and anyone looking to prevent diabetes. There are many ways you could use lemons in food, but lemon water is a great choice because it adds flavor to water. We all know water could get bland at times, and very few people drink the recommended six-eight glasses of water each day. Water helps to cleanse our systems, and judging by how much fast food Americans consume, we could use plenty of water.

Honey is a proven immunity booster. I love to add honey to my green tea, but it could also be used in plain water as well. Honey helps to protect us against the yearly colds and flu circulating around. It also tastes naturally sweet, and it is low in calories also. One teaspoon is about 60 calories. It is one healthy thing that does not taste terrible.

Cinnamon is great because it helps to stabilize insulin levels. I have cinnamon every day after dinner. It could be sharp, so I drink water and I lick it off a spoon, but cinnamon is perfect for drinks like apple cider. This is a very Christmas-like drink, but you could treat yourself to it any time of the year. Cinnamon could help to prevent both the common cold and the flu. I know that I have not gotten the flu since I began taking cinnamon, and while I get a cold, it is really more mild. Cinnamon is a spice, and if leaving it in your drink is not a good preference, cinnamon raisin cookies are a nice snack that will not make you ruin your diet too much. As long as it goes into your system, there is no right or wrong way to have it.

You do not have to have lemon, honey and cinnamon in the same drink, and there are many ways to have a variety of these three great flavorings. Consuming these will keep you healthy during the winter months.
