Have you ever had the feeling of wanting to run?
To never have to reflect on what's been done.
Do you know what its like to feel everyone watching?
They see you're a mess as time keeps stopping.
Everything freezes and you want to run away.
But you know there has to be someone who wants you to stay.
So you try to sit still and remain invisible.
You didn't expect to be called in by the principal.
Now everyone knows you've been cutting school.
They all think you're just bending the rules.
But you need to feel freedom because you can't breathe.
You try to stop the tears by clenching you teeth.
Your jaw tightens and you know it's time for you to leave.
You pack your bags while everyone else sleeps.
You're hair is a mess and your clothes are stained.
Your heart is beating fast as the adrenaline shoots through your veins.
Do you know what it's like to feel sick without a cure?
To feel lost and meaningless & completely unsure.
You walk down the stairs as loud as you can.
Hoping someone would hear you and ruin your plans.
You don't want to leave but you don't have a choice.
It's like you have no control over your own voice.
So you start to bawl as you walk out the door.
This is your last chance after this there's no more.
There's nothing left for you to do.
It's like you don't belong to you.
You close the door and at first you take it slow.
But then all these empty emotions start to show.
And you start to do what you orginally planned.
You wanted to get away so you ran.

Standing here just taking in all your words I feel as though I want to run away.
I can't stand all the words that seem to
In my dream death is near
I am caught in the depths of fear
I am gasping, running ever faster
Hoping to avoid my own disaster
I wonder how far I can go
before I turn around,
I wonder how long until
she hunts me down,
I wonder if they're still

I am running in the woods.
Alone, it seems.
Nobody here to see me.
Or, to hear my screams.
The ground beneath me is slipping
