Just every garden has one or two shady patches if it is not altogether in shade. This can be partial shade to complete shade as it can be due to a building, fence, tree or due to simply the position of your garden. Do not be disheartened by this problem as there are a number of trees, plants and flowers that do excellently well in complete as well as part shade. Before going towards the plant category one needs to find out what kind of shade you are going for is it a damp shade or a dry one.
For different types of shades there are different categories. For damp shade we have the following category;
1. Hydrangea Vines: These vines can tolerate shade.
2. Bleeding Hearts: They are sensitive to heat and the best plant to grow in the shade garden.
3. Hosta Plants: They are developed for the plant life and are in blue, gold and green color and to some exception are best for the shade gardens. Hosta plants will give your garden al the color and diversity it requires.
4. Foxglove Plants: They are used medicinally but require less humidity and can easily flourish in dry shade.
5. Spotted Dead Nettles: They are striking gray plants with fair blooms.
6. Perennial Plants: With feathery plumes they give a bright contrast to the Hostas plants.
7. Primroses: With color of pink, red, yellow and blues primroses provide a partial shade to give an outstanding look to the shade garden. You can use them in combination of colors or one color to give your garden a classical yet beautiful look.
8. Clematis: Is also a best option for the shade garden as it likes to have its feet into a shady ground and head touching the sky.
9. Wisteria: Is also a good plant in same category of which clematis belongs.
10. Herbaceous Plants: Contains ferns like Sword Fern, Maidenhair Fern, painted Fern and the Reddish Cinnamon Fern are the kinds of herbaceous plants that belong to the shade garden. A combination of different herbaceous plants will help you with giving your garden a natural and landscape look.
11. Amelanchier Canadensis: Can grow in moist and damp shade areas.
12. Astilbe taquetii: Can also be suitable for damp shady areas.
Similarly other best plants for shaded areas are the forest plants which usually grow in the forests surrounded by the forest trees.
