While every writer must find their own routine, there are undoubtedly some activities that can make a Helium writer more successful. Whether these activities are done in the sequence suggested below or not or whether they are punctuated by breaks to water the garden, spend time with the children or fuel up on more cups of coffee is completely up to the individual writer.
Helium writers may have different work routines, but the activities listed below should probably make it on the list of things to do for the day, if success is the name of the game.
1. Set Goals for the Day
2. Focus on a Topic
3. Select Existing Titles
4. Suggest New Titles
5. Write Articles
6. Check Marketplace and Contest Boards
7. Spend Some Time Rating
Goal Setting for Writers
Goals provide direction to effort. While it is possible to simply wake up and then decide to write, you will probably have a higher level of productivity if you took the time to plan how much you would like to write and how long you would need to complete your target. This process also helps to give a good estimate on your expected earnings from upfront payments and can serve as a motivating force in that sense.
Why Helium Writers Should Focus on One Topic at a Time
Helium affords writers the opportunity to write about absolutely anything under the sun. Each writer is also free to contribute on any category they are comfortable writing about. Why then should writers limit themselves to one topic? Simply because when you zero in on one area at a time it is easier to produce a large number of articles because you would have developed a certain momentum. This does not mean that writers should only dedicate their time to one area, but in any one sitting it is usually better to write a few articles on one subject area.
It Helps to Choose Titles in Advance
When you are planning your day, it is a good time to pre-select some existing titles you would like to write to. This saves time when you settle down to write, because you would already know what you would like to write. You can save the title links in a separate file and then simply click on them to submit when you are finished writing.
Suggesting New Titles Maximizes Income on Helium
While it is easy to rummage through the vast number of existing titles, it is worth your while to come up with a few of your own. Helium pays a bonus of $1 to every empty title submission, and this definitely adds up.
