Thanksgiving
I am thankful for family thankful for friends
Thankful for life until the day it ends
Thankful for people that made America what it is
Thankful for grandparents and thankful for kids
Thankful for the food that I get to eat
Thankful for the people that I get to meet
Thankful for the times good and the bad
Thankful for the feelings some happy some sad
Thankful for the lord whom loves us no matter what
Thankful for a home and a cute little mutt
Thankful for opportunities that many never get
Thankful for the love every little bit
Be thankful for life for it is a gift
I'm thankful for hockey every practice every shift
Be thankful for the things that people do
So to you my friends a big thank you

Poetry: What I'm thankful for
I need no life-changing fortune
To be grateful for what I have
No need to pursue happiness
When for my simple life I am
For wind and rain and green growing things,
Let us be thankful.
For gladdening sun and bright blue sky,
Let us be thankful.
by Ila Ann
Be thankful
For every day
For every person
In their own special way
Be thankful for blue skies
For warm sunlight
by Terrence Aym
The sun has risen once again.
The touch of your soft, warm hand,
The blossoming garden outside our door,
What I'm thankful
My humble thanks I give to Thee
For a life of relative peace and harmony
While some starve and suffer horrors untold
I feast
