As I sit looking back on the days,
before my hair went from blond to gray,
I can see you there, with your pale blond hair.
Your blue eyes were sparkling,
but your hands were shaking.
I see you go down on your knee,
right there before me.
You asked for my hand,
and gave me a wedding band.
We shared love and laughter,
and happy days thereafter.
I can never forget
the night we first met.
and the lifetime we spent on love.
