that you told me you loved me.

That you wanted to give me your everything.

And be mine forever.

It seems just like yesterday,

that you first kissed me

and held me when I cried.

And promised to never leave me.

It seems just like yesterday,

that you were sitting beside me,

holding my hand,

and beaming with the love we shared.

It seems just like yesterday,

that the police told me they killed you,

and stripped you from my life forever.

That I learned that I would never hold you,

and that you would never meet the child,

that we made together.
