Poetry: Broken dreams

Is there hope or am I a fool?

Do I dream of childish dreams?

Why persist and keep getting burned,

Dreaming of things that cannot be real?

Let go of the things I cannot have,

And do not dream again.

Move on from the past, accept this life,

Forget those childish dreams.

Stop holding on to nothingness,

Cut the strings that hold me back.

There's nothing left for me here,

Nothing but these broken dreams.
