Excitement breeds a forgetful mind,
about things we claim mine,
But at any time,
when Jesus touches your line,
taking things you love to say MINE,
you faint you almost blind.
Sadness breeds tears,
to those who does not have fear,
for the ONE who brought us here,
Sadness means the heart wins,
while happiness means satan wins,
to make you forget Jesus Christ,
who rises along your cries,
Sadness is GREAT,
as it teaches us to be glad,
for everything we have and had.
Earth is never meant to be heaven,
as it is a place for us to learn,
that being thankful is the road to heaven.

Poetry: What I'm thankful for
I need no life-changing fortune
To be grateful for what I have
No need to pursue happiness
When for my simple life I am
For wind and rain and green growing things,
Let us be thankful.
For gladdening sun and bright blue sky,
Let us be thankful.

Be thankful
For every day
For every person
In their own special way
Be thankful for blue skies
For warm sunlight
by Terrence Aym
The sun has risen once again.
The touch of your soft, warm hand,
The blossoming garden outside our door,
What I'm thankful
My humble thanks I give to Thee
For a life of relative peace and harmony
While some starve and suffer horrors untold
I feast
