Organize the lights before storage

One of the best ways to get Christmas Tree lights ready for decorating is to store them in an organized fashion. Using a Christmas light organizer can make the storage of lights an easy task.

Unwrap the lights as needed for the tree

Instead of searching through all of the Christmas Tree lights, use only what is needed. Unwrapping more lights than needed is a waste of time and effort. Use one strand at a time until the tree is covered.

Choose an appropriate tree topper

The final lighting for the tree is often the tree topper. Be sure to choose a tree topper that fits with the tree. This is especially important with themed Christmas Trees. There are various toppers for Christmas Trees but the most popular seem to be stars and angels. Using a specific topper allows the tree to have one final lighting aspect before it is finished.
