Come on folks saving money is easy!...you don't have to be a brain surgeon to sort out your life so that you're not spending unnecessary money on everyday things. It's simple, easy and painless.
Step 1: One thing i have done which was so simple involved my eating and drinking during the working day...I have 3 breaks a day and would walk 1 minute down the road and spend 70pence on a cup of tea at the local sandwich shop which equaled 2.10p a day just on cups of tea...I got a spare kettle and bought 80 teabags and a 28p bottle of milk for 1.28p which lasts all week saving me 's 's 's....SO EASY
Step 2: Quit with the silly texts and phone calls if someone texts you to say they'll meet you at 7.30pm....why send a text saying ok..its pointless..just meet them at 7.30pm lol
Step 3: Turn down(if not off) the heating..whats wrong with putting a jumper on in the house or having a blanket next to your sofa/settee..if you turn it off you'll save hundreds of pounds.
Step4: If you must have heat then why not buy a wood-burning stove?..it's free heat as there are many places to acquire wood to burn for absolutely nothing...you could even get one with a boiler on providing u with free hot water....doh!
Step 5: Boredom kills your bank balance...find something to do with yourself.I found in the past that when I'm bored i tended to go out or to the shops and inevitably spent money on things i wouldn't have if I had something to do.
Step 6: There are so many common sense steps that are too numerous to mention...you don't have to live a deprived life to live a little more frugally...think about the last thing you bought or payed for did you get the best deal and did you need it at all?Have u switched your energy supplier lately?Have you shopped around for car insurance?Have you got a good deal on your banking...stop smoking...don't drink as much..stop buying takeaways home cooked food is better for you and tastes better too..find a penny pick it up..don't throw things away sell them someone will buy them, ever heard of ebay?
In closing you don't need to be a financial wizard to save money, just take a step back and think a little thats all u need to do
I hope this helps,it has helped me and now I'm doing ok with my money and believe me I didn't used to be good with money at all and have experienced the other end of the spectrum...and above all the above steps cost you nothing...kerching
