Without question, joining United States military is an excellent choice for young men and women nationwide.
The military has amazing people, and the military takes care of those people and their families. The quality of people in the military is the highest you'll encounter anywhere in the country. Each and every individual as an expert in his or her field, and the high level of expertise makes military members the best at their jobs. Increasingly, military members and their families are offered bigger and better homes with free utilities on bases worldwide.
The military provides unique opportunities that are expensive or rare in the civilian world. For example, parachuting in the civilian sector is expensive, but thousands of military members are given this opportunity for free. Fort Benning, Georgia, and the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs offer parachuting opportunities throughout the year, both to active duty personnel and to cadets. The military offers exposure to other cultures through deployments and assignments to bases all over the world. The military also provides the GI Bill which can be used for further educational experience.
Job security is at an all-time high. With demands rising as result of recent conflict, the military is attempting to expand, and therefore is recruiting constantly. The Army has had difficulty in recent years recruiting the personnel it needs, so there are plenty of opportunities to join. In addition to job security, the military offers top-level training in hundreds of career fields, ranging from photography to flying. Many military members are placed in charge of large groups of individuals, large sums of money, or both, and this leadership opportunity serves them well later in their careers, and in future jobs.
Pay, benefits, and pensions are phenomenal. The pay is very decent, and most lieutenants make upwards of $30,000 their first year. Pay increases every two additional years of service, and promotions provide the biggest jump in pay. In addition to base pay, the military offers pay for housing, groceries, cost-of-living expenses, hazardous duty assignments, or for speaking another language. Benefits are excellent in the military. Every member is offered full military health care at clinics throughout the United States and overseas. Finally, the military is one of few organizations that still offers pensions. If an individual stays in for over 30 years, he or she will make 70% of the pay they made while on active duty.
With such a well-trained, highly educated, vastly experienced, and extremely professional organization, there is no doubt that sons and daughters across the country should choose to join the United States military.
