A career in business can be a very rewarding one. The question that you must first ask yourself though is what do I want from a career? Before taking the first step toward any career make sure that you answer that first.

What type of money do I want to make? How much time am I willing to invest in my career? How much personal time do I need to have? What type of benefits do I need? Is this something that I can see myself doing for the rest of my life? Do I have or am I able to obtain the skills needed to be successful in this career? Once you have answered this and other questions that you can think of then you can make a more educated decision.

Remember that in business the most important people to the company are the ones that are bringing in the money. Choose a job where you you are not an insignificant part just another "bean counter". Those that make the money for the boss are those that have secure futures.

Lastly, any business and any job can disappear. Make sure that you continue your education so that you can not only advance but so that you can also have something to fall back on.
