Lets talk about ticks and fleas. I do not like them not one bit, nor do my dogs. Fleas can spread like jack rabbits (so to speak). They can cover your dog in no time at all if you don't take control of the situation. Then your friend comes in bringing along his tiny little varmints with him. If you get one in your house you get thousands. Anyone that walks across the floor will have their ankles covered in these tiny black little jumpers. They leave you scratching and digging for days. They can be difficult to get rid of once they have invaded you house; not to mention an inconvenience. They make foggers you can use, but you will have to leave you home for a certain amount of time and it may take more than one treatment.
And ticks... Who wants these eight legged blood suckers crawling up their body? When the burrow their head into your (or your dog's)skin they itch like crazy and often times become infected. Ticks are also known to carry a variety of diseases. Some of these diseases can be fatal at times.
I have found a product that I believe is a "must have" if you own pets. I think this product is amazing! This wonderful product is called Frontline. It can be purchased at your vet's office. Using Frontline has many benefits:
1. Easy To Obtain - You just make a trip to your local vet's office. The vet I use always has it in stock. You can buy as little or as many as you need or want.
2. Easy Application - To apply Frontline to your pet you simply part the hair between the shoulder blades then apply the Frontline by squeezing the the applicator. You apply the entire content of the applicator that your vet gave you for that particular pet (so there is no guessing). You apply Frontline directly to the skin in your part. Then you are done! You only have to do this once a month.
3. It Is Waterproof - You can bathe your pet after the application has dried. This is really helpful for the dogs which require a lot of grooming.
4. Most Important Of All It Is Safe - Frontline is approved for puppies 8 weeks of age and up.
I am a firm believer in Frontline! The ticks and fleas do not have to bite your pet for it to work. Once they come in contact with Frontline they begin to die. Frontline will kill up to 100% of ticks within 24 to 48 hours. I have two dogs of my own and I use Frontline once a month year round. I do not have any problems with fleas or ticks in my household. My dogs can roam the yard or the woods and I do not have to worry about them bringing in any unwanted pest. This product is a miracle! I am sure your dog would say "Thank You".
