Google.com sucks! It used to be one of the best search engines out there. Which is why it's so popular.

However recently. I'd say within the past couple years. Google search has gotten really bad. I find myself using the "-" symbol all the time to filter out all the junk I didn't ask for, and all the crap that's completely irrelevant to what my search was even about. I don't know why this search has gotten so bad, but it's horrible.

Now I do know that Google sells results space. Meaning if you type in a search and the whole first page has nothing to do with what you searched. It's because those sites bought the rights to show up where they did. Which is wrong. I understand selling ad space, but don't sell search space. Especially when the results have absolutely nothing to do with what were looking for.

Yes there are a lot of 'secrets' to searching Google and finding what your looking for, but those aren't even working right anymore. I've tried the site:(site name).com then my search to tell it to look at a specific site. That didn't work. I've tried the quoting certain words. That didn't work. I've even tried combining the 3 tricks, and none of it worked.

So all in all. Google sucks! It's gotten so unreliable it's unbelievable. I remember years ago when they first appeared. It was such a wonderful tool you could type in a question and it would find the answer in seconds. You never had to thumb through junk to find what you were looking for. Search in the form of a question. Hit enter, get your answer. Now it's, search your question, fight through hundreds of results that have absolutely nothing to do with what you were looking for, and spend your whole day not finding the answer at all.

So thank god for Wikipedia. I've found more answers on that site then anywhere. Even Yahoo's starting to sell result space. Ya know. I've always wondered how a search engine can make million upon millions of dollars. Now I know how. Sell irrelevant search results that only drive users away.

Looks like I need to go build my own search engine company. I'll call it "OnlyPaidResults". It'll be the best website search engine online and I promise. Use my site and you will NEVER find what your looking for.
