Everyone is in need of an extra dollar or two these days. While there really are no real get rich quick options there are a few ways to make some money on the internet. All of the following are free to sign up for, but will take some work to actually bring in the cash.

Products: One way to make money on the internet is to sell or resell products. For instance, www.cafepress.com and www.zazzle.com are places where you can open your own online store with products that have your art, logos, and creative sayings on them. On the other hand there are sites like www.zlio.com that allow you to create a store that sells your choice of popular goods from electronics to clothing. If you go this route, you must be willing to market your stores, and be willing to learn everything you can about online marketing as this is how you get enough traffic to make sales.

Photography: If you are a photographer there are many paths to take. www.imagekind.com is a site with more of a fine are feel where people can order custom framed prints of your work. www.dotphoto.com lets you make albums from which people can order regular prints or products. Note: Because you are selling photography instead of products, customization on products other than prints is more difficult. There are also many places you can sell your work as stock photography. To find out if a website is reliable, see if you can find information on it at www.bbb.org. This is the Better Business Bureau's main website. Photography also has to be marketed well.

Writing: Three websites that seem to be reliable places to write are www.ehow.com, www.helium.com, and www.associatedcontent.com. Helium and Associated Content are sites where almost any writing can be posted from fiction to entertainment news and poetry. Ehow on the other hand is for how-to articles only. Most of these websites give you the rights to your work, so you can post on more than one site by just editing the piece to fit the format of the other site.

Affiliate Programs: If you already have a website or blog with a regular following, and new hits coming in everyday, you may qualify for an affiliate program. Two such programs are Google Adsense and Click Bank. You can make money on the internet with hard work and study. Just keep trying things until you find the thing that is right for you.
