When it comes to the topic of appearance or personality there are a lot of questions. Depending on the situation, you may find that appearance will get you somewhere. If you are going to an interview the first thing a person is going to notice and judge you by is the way you look, so of course you want to look appropriate, but if someone were to go into an interview with a nice suit and pretty face, but has a negative attitude that someone is probably not going to get hired. Having a job isn't about a pretty face, but someone who will get the job done.

Appearance is just the outer shell, there is so much more to a person than how they look. When someone has a beautiful face and a very bad personality, they aren't going to end up with a great job. Someone has to be hard working, positive, and be a good people person to be successful in life. A business person is not going to hire a very attractive, young, blond girl who doesn't know anything over a successful middle aged average woman who knows her stuff. It just isn't smart to hire someone because of how they look.

When seeking companionship you also look further than just the skin. No one wants to be friends with someone who looks amazing, but on the other hand, bugs the heck out of them. To be friends you want to find someone who shares your ideals and dreams, someone who is compatible with your own personality. This is also true in relationships, of course sex-appeal plays a big role.. but you can not be committed to someone who isn't compatible with your personality.

A personality is something that lasts forever, something that you are born with and die with. Appearance is constantly changing, from the soft skin of a newborn baby just coming into this world showing their huge personalities through those little beautiful eyes, adorable coos, and smiles to when you start to become old and are developing those life-long dreaded crows feet, but your personality is still shining on more beautifully than ever with all of the knowledge you have came across in your wonderful years of life. Personality will always stand out and be more important than how you look day to day, making a difference is how you act upon things; not how you look acting upon them.
