If you like playing Wheel of Fortune, LuckyWheel is an inexpensive and simple version that will probably keep you entertained for a good thirty minutes or so. Because I am a big fan of word games, I decided to purchase LuckyWheel upon learning that it was a pretty good app for its price of $1.99.
Before I start playing an app, I have to reboot my iPhone first. That way, I could test to see how many crashes (if any) the app will have on its own. Usually, apps will not crash after this initial reboot, so if there are any inherent problems after restarting the phone, they are probably related to the app itself.
Anyway, LuckyWheel does not have any problems with crashing. In fact, the gameplay is quite smooth. The instructions are easy and the game itself is not hard to follow. Even if you have never heard of the television game show Wheel of Fortune, you will still be able to play this app within the first minute. Also, the app can be played in a variety of languages. For those who have downloaded the Wheel of Fortune app, this app may well be a few notches above the former. I also love that this game has a multiplayer option. This means that I can ask a friend to play with me against a computer or against another friend. This may seem a bit difficult using an iPhone, but it is doable.
However, this app does have a few "cons." First of all, the graphics are not that great. The wheel looks choppy and so do the numbers and words inscribed on the various segments of the wheel. I feel that this can easily be fixed. Moreover, I would love for this game to have different levels of difficulty. I may be a beginner when I started playing this app, but a few games later I might be an expert. So, I want to be able to have difficulty choices as I become more familiar with the game.
Overall, I think that LuckyWheel is a great alternative to Wheel of Fortune. It is inexpensive yet it will provide many moments of entertainment and fun. Not only that, but it is somewhat educational, too, making it a perfect app for people of all ages. If you have $1.99 to spare towards the purchase of an app, I highly recommend LuckyWheel.
