I Shall Not Perish Gasping From Grief
I shall not perish
gasping from grief,
the fierce force of its hands
cruelly gripping my heart -
I shall go on -
a little more weary and worn,
a little more susceptible to weeping,
but stronger from devastation's dearth.
I shall not linger
in sorrowful shadows,
where the lilies only gloom -
their scent afield is far too lovely
to envelop me in shroud.
I shall move forward,
out of darkness
and toward the light,
wisdom inherent in my aching bones -
I shall keep memory
safe from agony
that would only seek to diminish
the love that was there
and still remains,
subtly breathing in the distance.

Imagine a life without, any question or any doubt,

Life without

What if God Called in Sick?
What if God wasn't feeling good
And didn't want to be bothered today.
What if He was just fed
Imagine life without a child's laughter
How boring would that be
Imagine life without a child's dream
How depressing would
I imagined my life without you:
Where would I go? What would I do?
Would I spend many nights alone,
Or would I soon find someone
