Poetry: The muse

by Carol Gioia

Created on: November 11, 2009   Last Updated: December 10, 2010

The muse never failed
and now she is gone,
no more to inspire,
how can I carry on?

From whence will come
the collaboration
of fanciful spirit
and imagination.

In the midst of ponder
thoughts implode,
channeled from
a different mode.

The muse did not
abandon me,
she facilitates
as an ethereal entity

Emptiness flees,
laughter ensues,
tickling my fancy
amuses the muse.
