FELLOWSHIP AMONG BELIEVERS

Going to church is the summary of all the fellowships a believer can boast of. It gives credence to the young believer's claims of having yielded to the evangelical efforts of a friend,brother,sister, mother, father,etc.

Attending house fellowships, prayer meetings, night vigils etc without stepping into a bible believing church is like attempting to qualify as a carpenter or car mechanic without some years of apprenticeship in the workshop or pass through the appropriate educational standard set aside for it's practitioners

God expects us to be at peace among ourselves [1 Thessalonians 5;13]; loving and harmonious relationship between believers is the concrete and convincing evidence to the world that we are Christains, the followers of Jesus Christ.God expects us to fellowship with one another from the house to the church, with holy kisses and hands always stretched out to help.

In a world painted with the blood of terrorism, believers should know that their fellowship and the attendant holy kisses,should not be that of Judas, for the kiss of Judas was the killer kiss,with hidden agenda,the kiss of betrayal, a kiss and tell , better known as the kiss of death. [Mathew 26;48, Luke 22;47-48]

The gospel is the sure foundation of scriptural,biblical fellowship. It went ahead to define to us, what Christian fellowship should be and also showed us it's basis and the danger of departing from it. So therefore, the local church is not a social club nor cult,it is for the body of Christ and the basis of our gathering in the church is not rooted in human preference but in divine sanctions.

The church is the centre point of all the fellowships that are organised in the name of God and genuine conversion and not the" unbelieving believer" stature in the church is the foundation on which it rests. The holy bible defines the elements of true and soul enriching fellowship as the much talked-about genuine conversion, the sinner who is not yet converted,cannot be in fellowship with believers in the true sense of it.

Christian fellowship in the church of God and it's mini-meetings is done in the atmosphere of complete openness,frankness and honesty.The fellowshiping believer is meant to have renounced the hidden works of darkness,dishonesty and craftness.The believer is meant never to lie to one another but to speak the truth.

It is equally important to note that though called believers in Christ Jesus,the possibilities of misunderstanding amongst members,as well as conflicts and offences are ever present. The closer and deeper the relationships in the fellowship, the more the possibilities of misunderstanding, conflict and offences, for it is extremely difficult to offend a distant person ,compared with how easy it is for one to step on the angry toes of the man next to you. Offences are bound to happen in the local church where we fellowship.

All Christians should above all swallow like a pill, the message on forgiveness[Mathew 18;15-35] for the gracious disposition that is tolerance and forbearing,goes a long way to promote fellowship,never talk nor believe evil of anybody in the body of Christ [fellowship] without good evidence and even if it is true ,learn to forgive.

The heart that has been touched by the grace of God will produce good things and good fellowship for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.[Mathew 12;34-35.] Therefore,brethren,let's remember that gracious words from our mouth, not curses promotes fellowship in the church and gives room for the city inhabitants to have fellowship with GOD.
