Heard from you - right out of the blue,

Was so surprised, couldn't believe it was you.

Rang me up you did the other day,

Reminded me that I still feel the same way.

We still talk the same, we talked a while,

And afterward, I had on my face that little smile.

Thought I was over you, thought I was doing fine,

Now I just can't get you out of my mind.

I saw a guy, he looks just like you do,

This guy - he works at my company, too.

Now I have this constant reminder at work,

Along with the memories where thoughts of you lurk.

As if that weren't enough, you had to call.

I often wonder, do you care for me at all?

Sometimes I think perhaps - when you do things like this.

My presence, my company, I wonder if you miss?

Do you even know how it is that you make me feel?

This confusion in me, it makes my heart reel.

If you don't want me, then please let me be.

Then I'll forget you, I promise this - you'll see.

I will get past you, this I must believe,

From this day on, I will be the one to leave.
