Finding true love is about the hardest thing anyone can do. I am only eighteen years old and, during my time on this planet, I have always thought that being in love was such a terrible, annoying, painful feeling. Now that I think about it, I was right about it being painful and annoying but love is anything but terrible. It is an incredibly joyful feeling. I never thought love was for me, or that i would ever be in love. I was wrong about that.
I have seen how love turns people around, how it changes people, most of the time for the best. It scared me to think that one feeling, one person could cause such a change in a person. It takes some people years to find love but in my case, I found it rather quickly. Some people may think that I am just some naive kid that is too young to know what love is but I disagree. I don't think you can ever be too young to know love. When you think about it, when you were a small child, you would always tell your aunt, uncle, cousin, or whoever that you love them and you barely even knew them. Does that mean that it wasn't really love?
It is possible to love someone at any age. People go out to clubs, parties, baseball games and other places in search for love but I don't think any of that will help or is necessary. I don't believe you can find love; I believe love finds you. I believe love is for everyone. Therefore, if love is for everyone, I think that there is someone for everyone. Now, I'm not at all saying don't go out to parties, clubs and other outings. All I am saying is that, regardless, love will find you. Once someone finds love, I'm sure they will agree that true love never disappears. Once love is found, you will never want to let it go and you shouldn't. For some people, love only comes around once and they let it slip by for some crappy reason that seems logical at the time.
In terms of love, most people only see the short term effect of their actions and reasons for doing certain things, most people often regret their decisions. So I say to you, don't be one of those people that take a temporary job, go to a school you are not passionate about or date someone you don't love for what ever reason unless you think about the long term effect of your actions. You just may be letting love slip right out of your hands.
