Poetry: Found myself

by Tasheem Stenson

Created on: November 10, 2009   Last Updated: November 04, 2010

I hope you know I'm not writing because of you,

Or for you

I said before that my writing sucks,

But that wasn't the truth

I had forgotten that I don't write because of anyone,

Including you

I write because of me,

This is meant for my eyes to see

It doesn't matter what anybody thinks

As long as it matters to me,

Then, I'm happy

Writing is a scared link,

Between me and my imagination, feelings, thoughts, and pen or pencil

You or anyone else may not consider me a writer,

Well, that doesn't matter

What matters is what I think.
