Making money from woodcutting is simple you cut a tree then sell the log but that isn't a good way to make money. To get to the good money you will have to work at your woodcutting skill. In this article I will tell you how to make money through woodcutting.
At woodcutting level 1 can cut down regular logs these are worth around 40gp each and give out 25 experience when cut, you should cut these till you reach level 15 (which wouldn't take long). They are found pretty much everywhere.
Once you reach level 15 start to cut down oak trees which are worth 45gp which again isn't a lot but they give out 37.5 experience you should cut these till you reach level 30.
Now at level 30 you can cut down willow logs these are worth 8gp and give out 67.5 experience you could continue to cut oaks if you are after the money but I would suggest cutting willows.
If you are a member and you reach level 45 cut maples which are worth 30gp not a lot but they give out 100 experience which is good because when you reach level 60 you can make big money so you need to focus on getting experience not money.
When you become level 60 woodcutting then you cut yew logs which are worth 450gp each and give out 175 experience this should make you very rich at 11600gp for one inventory. For free-members I suggest the yew trees just east of the G.E. and for members I suggest the yew trees west of Catherbay.
For the people out there who aren't impressed with the yew logs once you reach level 85 you should start cutting magic logs (you need 75 to cut them but its really slow) they are worth a whopping 1400gp each! They give 250 experience per log but the downside is that they are for members.
Here are some tips for when you are woodcutting:
1)Listen to music, woodcutting can become very boring very soon and music and help.
2)When wearing a Seers' headband (1, 2, or 3) you will receive 2 logs instead of 1 when cutting regular trees (members).
3)When wearing a Seers' headband (2 or 3) you will receive 10 XP extra per each Maple log cut (members).
4)If you have it wear the lumberjack outfit wear it because when wearing it you will get 2.5% extra experience (members).
5)Use the best axe possible, you will get logs quicker.
