There have been a lot of TV shows over the years which have stolen our hearts and our time making our lives just a little bit better. To be able to sit down in front of the tube and watch that show that has that unidentifiable certain something that makes you laugh, cry, swoon in joy, and get as frustrated as if it was actually happening to you! Yes, television is the way many hard working Americans reward themselves for a hard days work by withdrawing from their lives for an hour or so and entering the lives of the ever so interesting make-believe. What better gift to give than the best in television sitcoms? Let's take a look at 2009's best television show releases on DVD.

Did you grow up in the 90's? Well if so, you're probably going to be a little excited about the release of the Nick show Doug! Season three is finally out as one of the first of releases from Amazon's "CreateSpace" MOD (Manufacture on demand) program that got up and running last year. Seasons one and two were released in 2008 and the fans have been highly anticipating the new release of season 3 this year and are already making reservations for season 4 set to be released next year. The fun filled preteen sitcom is filled with the shenanigans of Doug Funny and his beloved dog Porkchop, his secret crush Patty Mayonnaise, and his best friend Skeeter Valentine. Whether Doug and the gang are learning about dances, chasing nematodes, or jamming out to Killer Tofu by the Beets, they are sure to learn a serious life long lesson, become closer, and end up laughing about it all in the end. The Nick version of this show ran from 1991-94 with re-runs until 2001, however, Disney bought the show and completely re-made it in 1996 and it ran until 1999.

DC Comic book fans will be pleased with the November 10th release of the Justice League Complete series DVD Box Set. Fans of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Hunter, and Hawk Girl will be anxious to get this set out of the box. Think the villains are the meat of a good comic? Well watch these heroes battle for their lives with their arch nemeses such as Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage, and Sorceress Morgaine Le Fey.
