Yes! Jesus is the only way.
This is beyond the point of reasoning and arguing. As I read in one of the articles the person was writing that it depends for whom since Jesus can not be the only way of salvation for a monk of some religion since Jesus is not a part of that particular religion. But right here we are at the root of the problem. Let us get one thing straight before we go any further. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. He said I have come from my Father in heaven and I am returning to Him again. Jesus said I am the life everlasting. He said I am the resurrection and the life. He said I have come to give you life and life abundantly. Jesus proclaimed again and again who He was and what He had come to do. No other person in history has claimed to give everlasting life to human beings. And that is why it does not matter to which religion you belong to, Jesus will still be your only way to salvation. I am of course talking about true salvation.
Let me just take one example here: The Jehovah witnesses as we all know they say that God Jehovah is the only one. They life up the name of Jehovah so much that they forget about His Son Jesus Christ and why He came to die for us sinners to bring us back to God. What I am really getting at is that the Bible says that there is not given among us any other name by which we shall be saved. Not even the name of Jehovah is good enough. Because that name is not available to us unless we first come to the Father through Jesus. He is the only way - the door.
One can of course argue this point I am making, but at the end of the day it is not our reasoning, nor our "made up" ways to heaven that will make us go there, or not! We must find out what God, who has all authority has to say about the matter and there is not given us any other way to find out than the Bible. Not the Koran since Jesus is not mentioned there as the way to salvation. He is not mentioned as the Son of God, so it can not possibly be the same God! I am being provoking but only to the point I am trying to make so if I am being misunderstood I hope I am being misunderstood correctly!
What I am saying is this: What is salvation? We know by reading the Bible that salvation is to get back to right standing with God. We have sinned against Him and we need His forgiveness. We are lost and we need to be saved. I do not know so much about other religions since I have no time for such things. I have the real life in Christ and I boldly proclaim it! I know other religions say they have true salvation, but according to me it can not be true since they do not confess Christ and therefore they can not have His peace.
So yes Jesus is the only way of salvation!
