If you work all day, then you might find it hard to stay in shape. You could wake up at six, shower, dress, and drive to work, then not come home until around six or seven in the evening; afterwards, though, you'll need to eat something, make time for family, friends, pets, or yourself, then shower and do it all over again the next day. Where's the time for a workout? See, it's hidden in there. I can't claim to know how everyone's schedule works, so I can't say when you have to work out, but I do know that it's possible to find time during the day, even if you are busy, to keep yourself in shape.
Everyone has a lunch hour. Yes, it may only be an hour of time, time that you want to use to eat, but you also want to work out, right? Well, try using your lunch break to workout. Go for a run, hit the gym, or just do small exercises if you have the space. Sometimes, I'll use my lunch break at school to work out because I have no other time during the day. Just be sure to bring a change of clothing and deodorant into the workplace so that you don't stink up the whole building after your workout.
It's also possible to sneak a workout in during the morning, before you walk, drive, bike, or take the bus to work. Heck, speaking of which, biking isn't a bad way to get some exercise while getting to work; what a way to kill two birds with one stone, eh? If you go to bed early, then you can consequently wake up early as well, so instead of waking up at six, you might be able to wake up at five, go for a run, shower, get yourself dressed, and still be out of the house when you normally would. Take advantage of the morning, especially over the summer when it isn't too cold before the sun rises, and use it to get in a quality workout.
You can also try exercising after work; however, there is a potential downside to this. Think about it: if you've had a long day of work, then you'll be pretty worn-out by the time you get home, so you might not be up for a full workout. But if you are up for it, then you should work out in between working and eating.
Other than that, there's not much time during a busy work day to get in a good exercise routine. Sure, you could resort to walking up and down the steps instead of using the elevator, or walking to get lunch rather than driving, but these are just small activities that will help you burn a few extra calories. It's much easier to get a workout in during lunch or before work because those are the two times of day in which you aren't as tired as you will be before you crawl into bed.
