The most gorgeous person you have ever seen can also be the biggest jerk to be around. So, if I want to see beautiful people, then I will turn on a soap opera. In the real world, it does not matter how someone looks if they are a bore or lacks the social skills needed to mingle and hang out with people. I do not care if you look like the hunchback of Notre Dame if you can make me laugh and have manners. I may not marry the ogre, but the ogre can become a great friend.

Some of the most unattractive people have beautiful personalities that shine so bright that it over shadows their unfortunate looks, and when you establish a friendship or any type of relationship with the person, the looks become inconsequential. Many times the individuals that focus an enormous amount of time on their looks often lack the social skills and grace to establish lasting friendships and relationships.

Looks are important because if you feel like you look your best then you are more confident and l your true personality shine will shine through. It all comes back to personality in the end. No one wants to be around the beautiful witch because no one wants to be treated like yesterday's garbage and just because you were blessed with good looks doesn't give you a right to act ugly. When a person acts ugly then that shines through as well and takes away from the physical beauty.

So, it is important to take care of yourself and make sure you are hygienic. How you take care of yourself also goes back to your personality. The qualities in you that makes you take care of yourself shows what type of person you are too. The key is not to become so obsessed with looks that you let your personality suffer.

How you treat others is how others will treat you. It doesn't matter if you have straw hair and a gap tooth smile. If you have the qualities of an internal beauty then you will be more accepted and your friendships and relationships s will thrive. Even the ugly cat at the pound will get picked if she show a little love to the perspective owner by rubbing up him or her and purring. It is even more evident today in the world of plastic surgery and HD TV that how a person looks doesn't mean much if the personality is not right.
