Pinecone Christmas Garland
Pine cones make a beautiful Christmas garland that you can string on a tree, in a doorway, or over a mantel. For this project you will need many different sized pine cones, thin ribbon, some sticks, pine branches, and other nice nature items.
This Christmas craft project is fun and simple for kids, and they can participate from beginning to end. Help your kids tie a pine cone to the end of the ribbon, and make sure to leave a little bit of ribbon to hang the garland with. Tie pine cones, sticks, and other nice nature items to the ribbon garland. Make sure to space them apart evenly. You can add some sparkle to this craft by helping the kids glue glitter onto the pine cones before you tie them to the ribbon.
Pine Cone Snowflake Christmas Tree Ornament
Pine cones are the perfect items to use when making Christmas tree ornaments, and all you will need for this project is white poster paint, iridescent or silver glitter, a small cardboard circle with a small hole cut out of one side, and a piece of ribbon. This craft is fun and easy for kids.
Start by gluing the pine cones with the pointed ends outward around the circle. You can use 5 or 6 pinecones depending on how you would like it to look. Feel free to use different sized pine cones to add interest to this craft. After the snowflakes have dried help your kids paint them with the white paint, and allow your kids to sprinkle them with glitter while the paint is still wet. After they have dried add the ribbon, and this awesome Christmas pine cone craft will keep your kids happy for hours.
Pine Cone Christmas Angel
Angels are a popular part of Christmas decorations and crafts, and this pine cone angel craft is a fun and easy nature inspired project for kids. You will need a pine cone, an acorn, some dried leaves, a piece of ribbon, paint, and hot glue for this kid's craft.
Star this Christmas angel craft by helping your kids paint the acorn beige except for the hat. Add a red heart for lips and black dots for eyes, and a little V shape for a nose and you have a face. Next glue several leaves to the sides of the pointed end of the pine cone. These leaves will make wings. Help your kids glue the head on top of the wings and the pine cone for extra support. Tie the ribbon into a bow and glue it right below the head of the angel. Glue a small loop of ribbon to the back of this angel if you would like to hang it as an ornament.
