There are many reasons that blogs are so relevant because people share their input nationwide, and most sites are free. Blogs help you because you don't have to do the research on a subject. You can ask a question, compare your responses, and then make your own decision from those experiences that others have had.
You can also start your own blog on a particular subject or a variety. For example, some blogs also include web development; some are limited to a certain subject, and others allow you to market your products or expertise. Listed below are a variety of blogs that will include technical and computer information:
HUBPAGES.COM: This site is free; however, as a writer; you can earn money as well as publish on line, create royalty opportunities, and join with a community of writers. This is just an example of how some blogs work.
SQUARESPACE.COM: This site has a free trial period of 14 days; after which you are charge $8.00 per month. This includes advanced blog importing; so your blogs are managed rather than just being imported. (Squarespace.com/blog-createablogimporter/)
TECHCRUNCH.COM: The Co-Editors of this site are two experts: Michael Arrington and Erick Schonfield. This blog was founded in June 2005 to review new Internet products and companies. They also cover existing companies that are making an impact. They are awesome because they also have a network of blogs as follows:
1) Crunch Base - This is a free database of technical companies, people, and investors that anyone can edit.
2) Crunch Gear - Covers gadgets, gear, and computer hardware, etc. Every day they have the hottest technical stories on the industry.
3) Mobile Crunch - This group covers the mobile industry's news and reviews on the latest mobile communications space.
4) Tech Crunch It - Profiles products and companies.
5) Elevator Pitches - If you have an idea for a start-up; you can pitch it to the Tech Crunch audience. They will either vote you up or down and provide constructive advice at no charge.
6) In the Enterprise Tech Space: Analyzes commercial, social, and consumer impacts.
7) Gilmar Gong - Shares what is hot in technical and social media.
8) Tech Crunch -Two other blogs in Japan and Europe.
GOOGLEBLOG: This group just signed an agreement today: November 9, 2009, to acquire Ad Mob, a mobile display ad company that was founded in 2006, located in San Mateo, California. Googleblog will continue to find ways to generate traffic for mobile sites (which they say Ad Mob had problems doing). According to the Vice President of Product Management, Susan Wojcicki, and Vic Gundotra, VP of Engineering; "Mobile web is still in the early stages, but mobile advertising products can encourage more growth." (Googleblog.blogspot.com/)
WORLD OF TECH BLOG BUSINESS WEEK: This blog site is very important because they deal with a conglomerate of issues on technology and computers. For example, news on Sony, Nortel, AT&T, Iphones, Kodak, Paypal, etc. (Buswk_com/the_thread/techbeat/archives).
HUNCH.COM: This blog divides the topics per: opinions, news, gossip, and research. Then they divide by style of writing: facts, info, sarcasm, etc.
As stated previously; some people wants current factual information, but others use blogs for gossip. You can also find those that are comical. Even on those sites that provide the latest news or research; there are some people who will still give sarcastic comments. For the most part; if you are going to blog sites that deal with computers and technology; most people are honest, informative, etc., who are also seeking the best opinions. But blogs are great ways to get free input from those throughout the world.
