You were one of my first great passions.
Now I spend most of my time avoiding you.
I don't want to remember.
You remind me of hate. You remind me of hurt.
It took 20 years to see why you meant so much to me.
And yet sometimes, I remember you anyways.
Sometimes I have a bad day. Sometimes I need your fuel.
Sometimes I just want to feel young again.
Sometimes I think I'm losing...and need to find a way to win.
I believed in you. I believed you could pull me out of a nightmare that was my youth.
I believed you were my friend when no one else was.
You were with me during the darkest times of my life.
You told a loser he could win. You never said how.
I figured it out though. It was the passion. It was the energy. It was the fight and the struggle.
You helped me to win, even though I hate you now.
Thank you Hard Rock...
