You are what you eat. The very essence of the Weight Watchers program is to monitor what you eat so that you will lose the unsightly bulges or maintain your weight. Here are tips for maintaining your weight in Weight Watchers. First and foremost, watch what you do at Weight Watchers. All too often, people do not succeed in their battle against the bulge because they give up, and go back to their bad eating habits. As the name goes, Weight Watchers is a program that expects you to watch what you do in terms of food and activities.
* Attend meetings regularly. Before Weight Watchers went online, being a Weight Watcher meant joining a group of like-minded folk who want to lose, or at the very least maintain your weight and not let it increase further. Being in a group ensures that someone else is watching over you, so, even if you are without discipline, your peers will help you keep to your goal of watching your weight. Each Weight Watcher group is led by someone who has been through it all, and have succeeded in losing or maintaining their targeted weight. There are people in your group to emphatise with what you are going through.
* Consult your group mates. Being in a group also means that there are people to guide you along when you are on the wrong path. Many heads work for the better towards the same goal. Community wisdom is better than the folly of a single fool. It is thus vital for you to stay with your group or your group leader who can help you pinpoint the reasons for not being able to keep to your plan. Being together with others in the same boat also works well for your emotional well-being, especially when, by looking at your leader alone, you realise that your determination will help you maintain your weight at the very least.
* Watch what you eat. When you are with your group, you will all be there to remind one another about this simple truth that what you put into your body system may stay there for life. It is thus vital that you are conscious of what goes into every morsel that you eat, and how many spoonfuls of food you take. Although there is a category of food that belong to the Zero Points Value group, bear in mind that it is there because its calorie count per serving is very low. If, however, you take multiple servings of food in this category within the same time span, you are indeed adding up the minimal calorie count to danger point. It is thus vital that you bear in mind not just the points per serving, but the number of servings
