The Craftsman Nextec 12 Volt Lithium-Ion Hammerhead Auto Hammer is available for a mere $100 and takes away the need for an electric cord to make it work. The hammer will nail up to 3.5 in nails and will only weigh 1.86 lbs. It's made for nailing in tight areas with minimal effort. The soft grip handles provide better comfort and grip, the magnetic head conveniently holding up to 7/16-in wide. This is a great gift for a guy who works a lot with an air hammer and would like a bit more freedom in his movement. The Nextec line also includes the 12 Volt Multi-tool, which performs multiple tasks by using high-speed (15000 OPM) Oscillations a 2.8 oscillation angle and six attachments. With a 30 minute recharge time, this tool is great for carrying around larger projects for only $99.

Hitachi Power Tools has released the CM5SB 5" Concrete Masonry Cutter this Christmas. This new Masonry tool features a powerful motor, efficient dust collection, tool-less depth adjustment and cover removal, removable side handle, wear resistant armature and field, trigger lock-on and Spindle lock. The task of cutting through the toughest of materials will be a breeze thanks to the 95% dust free cut this tool makes as well as the ability to adjust without getting special tools.

Hitachi also introduced the DV18DLP4 18V Hammer Drill (Tool body only) to the public for Christmas. This is a great idea for the handy man as it is the head of its class with its unique 2-step speed switch that gives 4 speed settings up to 1800RPM for the ultimate control experience in drilling. The externally accessible carbon brush allows for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a rare two piece earth magnet motor for durability and power as well as allows for 5 different positions for the belt hook and an integrated LED work light

While this tool does come with a side handle and driver bit, it does not include the battery. However, it works with all Hitachi Lithium Ion, NiCd and NiMH 18V post-style batteries.
