How could Jesus be just a myth?
When it comes to the person Jesus we must make sure that we have our facts straight. The facts about Jesus are found in the Bible and not anywhere else. Why am I saying this? Because Jesus is the Son of God. Now that is according to the Bible. We must understand that Jesus is not the center of any other religion except Christianity. So why would we look elsewhere for facts about Him? Other religions of the world can all gather around the fact that Jesus is nowhere to be found. When Christians come together with these other religions the problem is always Jesus. Christians cannot do without Him and other religions can not do with Him. He is the only thing that stands in the way, if I may say so. So after that is said let us turn to the Bible and find out the real story about this interesting man called Jesus.
In the gospel of John first chapter we discover that Jesus was in the beginning. The bible tells us that the word was in the beginning and the word was with God and the word was God. To find out more about Jesus being the Word of God one can simply go to any bible site on the net and search for "Word of God". This Jesus, the Word of God was God. If the word was God then God must also be the word!
We are all familiar with the "trinity". Although this word is not found in the bible, it is a way of explaining the God of the Bible. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. If we look at for example Allah the god of the Muslims, he is god alone. He does not have a son, nor a spirit. So it becomes very obvious that we are not talking about the same God here. Other gods function in the same manner. The point I am trying to make is that Jesus is the Son of the God of the Bible, the God that says He created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. And as you read on in John chapter 1 you will find out that He created all things with His Word - Jesus.
That is why He later when He wanted to save man from sin sent His Word. The bible says the Word became flesh. Now we begin to understand the mystery of God. Everything God had spoken in times past was now manifested in a human body. For what reason? The bible concludes in Colossians 2:14 that He nailed it to the cross. So we see that everything God had said that was against us was in Jesus nailed to the cross. Every law and commandment that we were unable to keep was nailed to the cross in the human body of Jesus Christ. This is why the bible declares that everyone
