Black and White
Hey 29173H, what are you doing? asked 29173G.
29173G and 29173H were almost like twins. They looked the same, thought the same; everything about them was the same but they were not twins. They lived in the Omega Complex, a colourless metal building that housed the citizens which was ruled by the Elder. 29173G and 29173H were clones of the original 29173, a very high ranked citizen of the Omega Complex back when there was no cloning and everyone grew older and wiser. After a betrayal of one of the citizens, the Elder decided to use clones and so the wise and loyal were picked and cloned. Then all the original citizens of Omega Complex were terminated. 29173H and 29173G were currently two of the inexperienced and are being educated so they could serve the elder and answer his commands.
Check this out 29173G. What do you think this is? said 29173H.
In his hands was a rectangular object that opened up on the sides. Inside were thick sheets of paper. Paper was illegal in the Complex. It was an act of treason and if it was not reported, they would be terminated. On the paper were neat little words and colourless pictures of things they had never seen. On the cover was one single word: Encyclopaedia.
Hey look, it has a date in it! exclaimed 29173G, it says 03/19/4963.
That must have been hundreds of millenniums ago! replied a very awestricken 29173H.
Let's read it, exclaimed 29173G, and I get to hold it because I am older.
Only by a few yactoseconds, objected 29173H, why don't we both hold it?
Alright then agreed 29173G with very little enthusiasm.
And so, the two clones sat down on the cold colourless metal floor, the same floor that ran throughout the complex, and they began to read, oblivious to the other clones moving about outside, oblivious to their Personal Data Devices ringing, signalling a hologram message coming through, and oblivious of the icy wind coming through a crack in the walls, stinging the back of their necks. They read about animals, dinosaurs, colours, dreams, pioneers, food that was nothing like the horrible pills they had to consume everyday, and so many other things that they never thought would have existed. They read about a time where you could do anything you want, one where everything was different, where there were trees, where you could have fun and play, where everyone had families, people who cared for them and loved them and they wished they could experience that.
Isn't it weird how everyone looked? They were all different and had different things on their head. said 29173H.
Yeah. Wouldn't it be cool if we could dream? asked 29173G What if this is all a dream?
Don't be silly, how could this be a dream we cannot even sleep? replied 29173H, Although I wish we could see colour.
Suddenly they saw a flicker of movement at the edge of their vision but when they turned around they saw colour for the first time. There was the burning hot red of the walls, the soft yellow glow of the lights, the bright green of their clothing, and the rich blue of the cover of the book; it was as if their monotonous world was catching on fire and slowly spreading all around them and so they experienced colour for the first time. For a couple days they went through the day normally but finally, they could not take it any more and decided to contact the Elder. They visited the Elder in his room and for the first time realized the cold aura around him. The Elder had pitch black eyes, not the warm black of coal but the cold black of an abyss. His skin was a sickening shade of grey.
We found this thing in our room. What is it? asked 29173G.
It is a book. Inside are lies that the government told their people millenniums ago. The people back then were untrusting and treacherous. Then the original me came and changed it all. He got rid of the evil of colour, the greed that came with money, and the insults that came with difference; he made cloning. Now I am glad that you brought this right away. I will not punish you this time. said the Elder.
Why did you get rid of colour? It is quite beautiful. exclaimed 29173H.
You mean you have actually experienced colour? That is illegal and is only punishable death. declared the Elder with a horrible grin on his face, You will be terminated at the town square today.
The Elder led them out the room and to the square. At one end of the square was a big black lump of metal: The Incinerator. It was said that whoever goes in The Incinerator stays in The Incinerator for the rest of their lives but no one knows what happens in there after you go in. No one even knows what the word incinerate was because it was one of the forbidden words. Rumour says that even the Elder could only guess what it does and so the Elder named it according to what he thinks it does. As they walked in, they turned to see the other citizens and for the first time they experienced fear. It was very unpleasant, the cold shiver crawling down their backs despite the warmth lingering in the air, the goose bumps on their arms caused by their fear and the sudden weakness in their legs that made them fall onto their knees.
This is all a lie, they screamed with the last of their energy.
Then they were pushed into The Incinerator. They collapsed immediately because of the burning pain overwhelming all their senses, the heat on their bodies and then suddenly, their minds went blank

Wake up Wayne says a voice.
Wayne opens his eyes to see his twin Clark looking down at him.
I had another nightmare said Wayne, I had a dream where we were humans and saw something called colours, and read about a world where there were animals and everyone looking different but don't tell anyone or else we will be terminated.
Ha Ha Colours? Animals? You know that only those humans see colours and that the only animals we know of are the humans who do our dirty work. What's next, us not having antennae or having those leg things that those revolting humans have? How dumb can you get?
Then the two creatures walked towards the colourless Omega Complex leaving behind two thick trails of slime, which were immediately cleaned by two human clones named 29173G and 29173H.
