Each and every year, parents try to find the right gift for their kids. However, Tonka Trucks and Barbie dolls are no longer on your teen's wish list. While some teens want superhero annihilating mutant aliens or a latest in Paris fashion, some want books. The best books for teens are those that help them understand themselves and their high pressure world. For your cerebral teen who wants to information about teen issues and teen health, here are some recently published titles that would be great gifts.

Wintergirls (Viking Press, 2009)
Laurie Halse Anderson's newest book, Wintergirls, covers the health concern of anorexia.
