Memoirs: Halloween costumes
Since my childhood, I find a sense of security, freedom, a deep and positive magic in the costume I possess and wear. It gives me a sense of uniqueness in choosing a specific texture of certain qualities, as if I invite them to be a part of my life and enter my inner self in a very real way. The entire costume provides me delight in my composure and self understanding. After all, it is purely a great fun to dress up properly, to be appreciated by onlookers. A system we created to boost our confidence and self respect, creation of, Come October.
Our forefathers did the same. They too participated in various ceremonies like Halloween, to play fun with clothes and costumes, disguising with masks of various dancers and personalities, just the plain fun to showcase the art of split personality, expanding the limits of an individual. They brought the structure of knowing the joy of not being what you are. Something different. Taking on entirely different appearance, expanding self, visiting the different unknown personality in disguise.
When we were kids, they used to give us some exciting tips for deciding which costumes will bring us close to life of our own, how to emulate great personalities to strengthen our glory, bring deep bond of understanding between the self with display of costume to the world and which qualities we should possess that will strengthen our ambitions to stretch and grow.
As the costumes takes their place in our life, coming close to our heart, bringing feelings of inner connection, it takes prominent significance to weed out our weaknesses. It portrays its individuality with a character of substance by its prominence. As if, it is venturing our life with heart and soul to encourage our journey in life. It explores our inner personality to bring deep sense of satisfaction proving that it is not there just to cover us against unpredictable sequences of changing weather.
Like our ancestors did with us, we too have to display a rich vocabulary of characters and images with costumes to our kids to encourage their deep understanding with themselves and self-exploration in the form of inner journeys in the world of decoration.
Ask yourself, what enlightens your character and understanding with your own life and what relation it provides with costumes you possess. Which costumes will bring strength in you? There are certain great personalities and characters from mythological view, those who cared to demolish the kingdom
