Grandpa's dream and dad's Polaroid camera
Many times my grandpa told us a true story about what happened to him one night. He told us of a reoccurring dream he had when he was in his early thirties. He was in the woods in Laurel, Ms. digging around a tree late at night; in this dream he believed that he would find a treasure of money and jewelry that was worth millions of dollars. At that time my grandpa worried about this dream because it was reoccurring every other night, so he called up one of his friends and told him about the dream. He asked his friend to take a ride with him to Mississippi, because he knew where this tree was, so that next night they drove to Mississippi to where this tree was and they brought shovels and started to dig.
They both were excited and couldn't wait until they found this treasure the dream was hinting to. However, they were interrupted from digging from loud sounds coming from out of the ground, my grandpa told us that this sound was somewhat loud as people cheering at a football game and it was very eerie, because there was no one for miles and miles and they were way out in the woods.
The sound got louder and louder, so loud and scary that it scared the wits out of my grandpa and his friend. They ran back to the truck and went home. My dad told me that during the Civil War, wealthy slave owners would bury their possessions in the ground and kill a slave and place his body over the treasure so that no one would take their belongings. The dead slave's body would haunt the area where the treasure was placed in order to protect it for the slave owner. And wherever that tree stands today, that was in my grandpa's dream, perhaps the treasure under it is still protected by a restless spirit.
My dad owned a Polaroid camera and he hadn't used it for years because it stopped working. One evening my parents were cleaning out their bedroom closet and they came across that old Polaroid, my dad started fiddling around with it trying to make it work, he pressed the on button and and three photos flew out of the camera. Two of the photo's didn't develop, but the one that did had three figures on it, they were standing together, they were not human covered by flesh. However, they were spiritual beings. We couldn't believe what we had seen so we called up other relatives who came over and looked at the photos and they too couldn't believe their eyes. We all came to the conclusion that it had to be angelic beings caught on camera, but the strangest part was that this camera was broken for years and all of a sudden it shot out three photo's. My sister placed these photos in a bible and sat it on the shelf and the next day when she went to get it to show it to someone else, the photo had disappeared.
