Esperanto as a universal language

by Alice Martins

Esperanto, a universal language? The idea of a universal language is at least as old as the history books as the biblical Tower of Babel. The biblical story about the fall of Babel, refers to that there was a time of a universal Adamic language. And then something happened, introducing the confusion of tongues on Planet Earth, similar to the history of man's fall from Paradise. Esperanto is a language considered "artificial" because its creation is not collective product of a given society, but of an individual. Its creator, Luis Lazarus Zamenhof, tried to create an alternative to the profusion of languages in the world, publishing in 1887 his work in which he presented the new language. There are several arguments in its favor as the ease in learning the language (it has only 16 grammatical rules), the fact that a language "neutral", the ease of global communications to its adoption as an alternative language of all countries, would be unnecessary a person to learn several!

languages and has thousands of resources that would no longer be spent on translations, etc.. (Zamenhof, 1988; Zamenhof, 1993, Santiago, 1986). There are deeper reasons to argue that the introduction of Esperanto in all countries, becoming a universal language. In the late nineteenth century, there was a wealth of artificial languages, each designed to be the language fluently and universally. Among these were posthumous, Volapk and Esperanto, but Esperanto is the most popular.a Lejzer language can be learned so very easy and fast. You do not have the spelling difficult that comes from the Greek conjugations complicated or exceptions to the rules: it is characterized by crystalline spelling and syntax regular basis for which can be treated in no more than ten hours. Who could come up with something better? Esperanto becomes more important with the emergence and expansion of the Internet. There are millions of people with access to the worldwide network of computers that ta!
lk and the more distinct languages. Some speak French, Russian, German
, Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, etc. and several individuals dominate three or more languages but nobody speaks all languages and communication, technologically possible, it is virtually impossible. It is necessary to expand, with the Internet, Esperanto, to facilitate international communication. Defending linguistic emancipation of mankind, is to end the tower of Babel, while the national language and at the same time developing an international language. Thus, it seems fair to fight the spread and use of Esperanto on the Internet and beyond, as a second language in all nations.
