A Night to Remember
Demons rush the streets
Fairies, penguins, peacocks, and dolphins
Monica, Michele, Barack, and Bill Clinton
These are the people I saw
The rain sputters out
Comes a full gravid Moon
Dreary lampposts come out
Spirits sick of their slumber
Laughing, screaming, crying, ranting
Knowing what is where
Knowing whom is who
Free to go and come as you choose
Oh, Halloween, what fun you can have
If you only stay sober enough to remember
