The Battered Cup
Passed 'round the fated stone
a cup, whose tale is one
of daring knights
in quest of glory and of power.

sword slice head from shoulder

the generous cup, defiling
it with human blood. This age
is past, but still in dreams
I see the shadow and the knight,
searching for the Holy Grail-
searched for the battered cup.
